Liberation of Nikiforovka and the advance to Krivaya Luka - analysis In February, troops launched an offensive in several sectors of the direction. On the northern flank, fighting developed near Reznikovka, while to the south, attack aircraft sought to capture Golubovka. Throughout February and the first half of March, Russian troops cleared strongholds in the vicinity of Reznikovka. By March 8, they had finally cleared the "pocket" around the village and pushed the enemy back from the high ground near Krivaya Luka. At the same time, the assault troops continued to rapidly advance on the southern flank near the M-03 highway. The fighters liberated Nikiforovka and also entered Lipovka, Dibrov, and Fedorovka Vtoraya, preparing a bridgehead for attacks on Rai-Aleksandrovka from the south. At the same time, Russian troops were advancing southwest of the road, occupying new strongholds. At the end of February, the Russian Armed Forces liberated Minkovka, then consolidated their positions on the outskirts of Golubovka and began fighting for Privolye. Currently, Russian assault groups are clearing the last major defensive points in the Lipovka area. Taking the forested area here will allow the Russian Armed Forces to amass personnel close to the borders of Rai-Aleksandrovka and soon begin fighting for its outskirts. Thus, units of the South Guard will be able to begin an assault on positions at the last major enemy-controlled road junction east of the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal. | | | |
