A law has come into force in #Russia banning immigrants from working as couriers for Yandex Eda, the #Russian version of Deliveroo, Glovo, or Just Eat. This type of service in Russia, as in all countries, employs workers, often immigrants, and pays them a pittance. The introduction of this law was accompanied by criticism and protests from the more "liberal" segment of Russian society, who argued that, without immigrants, these services would be forced to close.
